Unattached Patient Urgent Care Clinic

The City of Kawartha Lakes Family Health Team offers an urgent care clinic run by nurses, nurse practitioners, and social workers for the residents of the City of Kawartha Lakes who DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE A FAMILY DOCTOR OR NURSE PRACTITIONER IN ONTARIO.


Located at 55 Angeline St. North, Lindsay, Suite 2/3 (Giant Tiger Plaza) the clinic is open on Fridays only (closed on stat holidays) from 10:00am to 2:00pm. To book an appointment, call 705-328-9853 Ext. 296 on Fridays between 8:00am to 9:30am or Book Online HERE. This clinic sees patients by appointments only.

Minden Hills Urgent Care Clinic

The new Minden urgent care clinic provides access to same-day, urgent, non-emergency health care. The clinic runs on a first come, first served basis and is available to any Canadian resident.


The  clinic is run by the Kawartha North Family Health Team and is staffed by KNFHT Nurse Practitioners and Registered Practical Nurses who will provide care to patients with unexpected but non-life-threatening health care concerns.


Hours of operation are 10am-5pm seven days per week.

Women's Health Non-Urgent Care Clinic

Ross Memorial Hospital is offering a Women's Health Clinic for non-urgent care, with priority given to women with no access to a family doctor or nurse practitioner.


The clinic can help with preventive cervical cancer screening (Pap tests), abnormal bleeding, birth control, and treatment of STI's.

Virtual Services

Health811 is a phone or online resource, open 24 hours a day and available to all Ontarians.  Call 811 to find health services or information or get health advice from a registered nurse.

Telus Health MyCare is a virtual service available from 8:00am to 10:00pm Monday to Friday, and 8:00 am to 6:00pm on weekends. You can see a doctor from your phone, and patient visits are covered with a valid OHIP card.

The East Region Virtual Care Clinic delivers a regional Nurse Practitioner-led Virtual Care Clinic for residents of Ontario's East region, which includes Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton County.

Patients can access the clinic 7 days a week from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m.

  • Lindsay at 189 Kent St West inside the Victorian Drugmart Guardian Pharmacy Monday to Friday 9am to 9pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am to 6pm

Good Doctors Lindsay is an in-person virtual clinic located at 86 Russell St West, Lindsay.  There is a nurse on site to perform physical assessments, and connect patients through secured video conference, to a licensed Ontario physician.  Physicians are not physically onsite for assessments. You must book through the website, and appointments are available Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30pm 705-304-0021.

MD Connected is a virtual care clinic located inside Rexall at 401 Kent St W, Lindsay. Nurse-assisted doctor consultations are available in the clinic, using telemedicine technology. Available Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 7:30pm, Saturday 9-5, and Sunday 10-5.  A small fee may apply.

Pharmacists can now offer prescriptions for:

  • oral thrush (candidal stomatitis)
  • pink eye (conjunctivitis; bacterial, allergic and viral)
  • dermatitis (atopic, eczema, allergic and contact)
  • menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea)
  • acid reflux (gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD))
  • hemorrhoids
  • cold sores (herpes labialis)
  • impetigo
  • insect bites and hives
  • tick bites (post-exposure prophylaxis to prevent Lyme disease)
  • sprains and strains (musculoskeletal)
  • urinary tract infections (UTIs)

The Aging at Home Program , offered by the Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO), supports Métis citizens aged 55 and older in living safely and independently within their own homes. Funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, the program provides a range of in-home supports and contracted services. Services Include: In-Home Cleaning: Assistance with light housekeeping tasks. Transportation for Errands: Support for activities such as medical appointments, banking, and grocery shopping. Contracted Services: Lawn care and snow removal provided by hired professionals. Availability: The program operates in the following Métis communities across Ontario: Atikokan Dryden Gravenhurst Blind River Timmins Haileybury Chapleau Cochrane Midland Mattawa Renfrew Peterborough Kenora London Eligibility: Métis individuals aged 55 and older who require support to remain living in their own homes. Eligibility criteria include a financial review and a medical referral. Rainbow Health Ontario (RHO) is an online registry operated by the Sherbourne Health Centre in Toronto to help improve healthcare for 2SLGBTQIA+ people. They do not offer health care directly, but do have a huge resource library and a database of queer-friendly or gender-affirming services around Ontario. RHO publishes guidelines for healthcare practitioners regarding hormone therapies and other gender-affirming care. This can be useful for advocating with a healthcare provider for what you need. Ontario-wide database of services and healthcare practitioners, which can assist in finding services and care. RHO also has a lot of info sheets, guidebooks, and research that can help inform your own journey, or can be shared with others to help build awareness
